War On Gaza -Benjamin Netanyahu where to?

Published: at ٠٣:٥٦ م

Since the beginning of 2023, the Jewish community in Israel has witnessed sharp political and social conflicts and polarizations following Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s initiation of a judicial coup aimed at weakening the judiciary and subjecting it to the executive branch, etc., as the conflict between Netanyahu’s government and the protest movement led to a decline in his popularity and government coalition.

Today, in its war on Gaza, the Netanyahu government is facing a number of challenges due to the lack of confidence of the Jewish street in it, including the collapse of the security base on which the occupying power depends for its survival. and its failure to quickly resolve the battle that the state relies on in its wars.

It suffered losses at all levels, whether military or economic, and then this government failed to achieve its goals in Gaza, including vowing to root out Hamas and eliminate it by flooding its tunnels. Most importantly, it failed and was unable to recover the prisoners, and even killed a number of them by their army’s fire.

The Likud party has seen some of its members resign since the beginning of the war, such as the head of the regional council, who submitted his resignation live from the ruling Likud party, saying it was because of Benjamin Netanyahu’s failure to help the residents of the Gaza periphery and protect them from Hamas rockets.

A number of analysts, senior military officers and retirees also criticized him on television and even called on him to resign immediately and before the end of the war, which led to the collapse of the base supporting him and the Likud party and the decline in the seats he will receive in the upcoming elections.

Is it possible that all these problems will lead to a repeat of what happened in November 1995, when Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated by a Jewish extremist against the backdrop of the peace negotiations that Rabin began with the PLO?

Will someone come out with the support of a party or even a personal motive to shoot Netanyahu in the head, who is accused of embroiling himself in the mud of war for personal reasons and benefits?

Where is Benjamin Netanyahu going? To retreat after total failure at all levels and suffering from what Begin suffered after the invasion of Beirut? Or an end like Sharon’s? Or the final extinguishment by a stray shot?
